We all have fears and for those of you moving up to high school, you may fear what is next in your life. Well, I'm here to tell you as someone who sat in those same seats thinking about what was next for me and being afraid of that next step that there is nothing to fear. Fear can form from uncertainty or not knowing what will be next in your life. But you all have a dream and you want to accomplish that dream no matter what because you have found passion in that dream or goal. Before I give you all a message allow me a short time to tell you about how fear affected a friend of mine. Before my promotional ceremony, a friend who was close to me was afraid of the next step in her education and it made her try less in school to avoid moving on in her education due to her fear. But before the graduation and before the start of the 3rd quarter of our eighth-grade year a teacher we had told us that there was nothing to fear because we were ready for high school. But onto the quote, Soledad O'Brien once said that"fear limits you and your vision it serves as blinders to what may just be a few steps down the road for you. The journey is valuable but believing in your talents your abilities and self-worth can empower you to walk down an even brighter path".I'm gonna explain the quote in two parts only nothing more or less. The first part of the quote fear limits you and your vision it serves as blinders what may just be a few steps down the road for you. This first part means that whatever your goal is in life whether it be an actor professional sports player or a teacher you can accomplish it if you don't let fear control you or your actions the only thing holding you back and stopping you from doing whatever in life is you. As cliche and corny as it may be it is also true. If you let the fear control you will be blinded to what is right in front of you and when you go off to high school you will be blinded to the goal that is a few steps ahead of you but you can regain your vision by forgetting the fear and going for your dream in life. But getting to the dream still requires a lot of work you still need to get an education and use the gift this school and its staff have given to you and repay them by becoming great people and doing great things with your life. The second part of the quote "The journey is valuable but believing in your talents your abilities and self-worth can empower you to walk down an even brighter path"This means that if you are walking your down the path you chose the time you spent doing it was worth it but if you find something better do not be afraid to try it out and trust in yourself and what you can do and the importance of what you can do.
