The History and Future of Computers
Introduction
A computer is a device that can be used to store and process data. Computers are made through a series of parts that work together to carry out a function. Two important things with a computer are the hardware and software. Computers operate on zeros and ones and when a command is an input the zeros and ones become binary code. Binary code is a coding system that uses zeros and ones to represent a digit or other characters The past of computers before the 1990's was there few people who had 3d graphics so it was not common,32bit computers were not yet introduced to the populace. Also, the speed of the computers increased drastically and the internet was added due to the increased speeds. Modern computers increased in speed and developed more since then.
The First Computers
An abacus is a calculating tool that was used in Europe it is seen by many as the first computer as it did some of the main functions of computers. In 1833 the idea of the computer was thought of and was in development by Charles Cabbage, an English mechanical engineer but was not followed up on because the technology was not advanced enough to construct every piece necessary for the product to work correctly. While he could not use electronic parts to do programs or run the computer he made a mechanical computer. A mechanical is a computer built from levers, gears and other mechanical parts instead of the electronic parts used today. An innovation to the mechanical computers was electromechanical components to improve upon things. The computers used technology advanced enough to calculate trigonometry to fire a torpedo underwater at another moving target. The mechanical computers would eventually be made even better when electronic components.
